A project on intimacy at the intersection of art and science.

THE 2.5 YEARS IN CREATING MY FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION:
︎MARCH 11 2020: WHO declares COVID-19 a global pandemic.
︎3 WEEKS LATER: Tinder users swipe a record-breaking 3 billion times in 24 hours.
︎I apply and receive the highly competitive City of Melbourne Annual Arts Grant.
︎My exhibition gets delayed six times due to rolling lockdowns—stretching on for over two and a half years.
︎I interview 12 people, single through one of the world’s longest and strictest lockdowns.
︎They kiss a Petri dish.
︎Their inner galaxies visualised via photography and audio experience.
︎I am interviewed for ABC Radio and have an exclusive with The Age.
︎Opening night opens to a large crowd, only second to Neil Gaiman.

“For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.”
—Carl Sagan, Contact [1980]
