Imagine if a colour could change the world.
HOW AN INSTA POST TOOK OVER THE WORLD:
︎Pantone declares ‘Living Coral’ as their 2019 Colour of the Year.
︎I release an Instagram post calling out their tone deaf actions and lack of corporate responsibility.
︎The story spreads through over 30 countries worldwide, in publications like Vogue and Dezeen.
︎Kendrick Lamar’s creative director [Brocky Korsan] shares it and calls it 🔥
︎Bleached Coral permeates culture— from fashion, design, art, architecture, beauty, and beyond.
︎It even becomes a wedding trend.
︎Bleached Coral is exhibited in ‘State of Extremes’ curated by Design Basel’s Aric Chen, where it is now on permanent collection.
︎Bleached Coral is nominated for the Beazleys Designs of the Year 2020 by the Design Museum of London, where it will outlive me as part of the permanent collection.
︎Pantone is yet to respond.
